I left our lodgings in Chelan, crossed the Canadian border, and arrived in Kelowna.
Immigration officers were scary, but I managed to get through by showing him my schedule in English.
The scenery from Chelan to Kelowna was also interesting. The desolate, sparsely grassed mountains changed to sparsely treed mountains. The orchards, too, changed from being mainly apples to being dominated by vineyards once I crossed the border.
On the way, I visited the first settlement in Kelowna, then went to Jim's house. We had a great time talking about fishing for kokanee, and after dinner we went to see the spawning grounds of kokanee.
Tomorrow will be my first fishing in Canada.
