【2021／3／4】 廃墟から 東日本大震災から10年目の春、３月11日が近づいている。 自然災害が多発する日本で暮らしながらも、この震災の衝撃ほど、私の人生観に影響を及ぼしたものはない。 このときを境にして、私の作品には、どれにもこの震災への感慨が通奏低音として響いている。それを抜きにして表現はできなかった。 私の作品のそれぞれに刻まれた、あのときの心痛や、年月を経て変化していく自分の意識を読み解き、この10年を振り返ってみたい。 そうすることで、10年目を迎える自分自身の節目にし、今後を生きて行こうと思う。
The spring of the 10th year since the Great East Japan Earthquake, March 11th, is approaching. Nothing has influenced my outlook on life as much as the impact of this. From this time onward, all of my works have a feeling of this earthquake as a basso continuo. I couldn't express without it. I would like to look back on the past 10 years by understanding the heartache at that time and my consciousness that changes over the years, which are engraved in each of my works. By doing so, I will make my own milestone and live in the future. ------------ 作品 Work :１／ 津波が引いた静寂の中、人間が生物として大いなる自然に向き合い、新たな関係を作り直すために語りかける、 廃墟からの最初の呼びかけ ー 「きこえるかい？」ノルウェイ語で "HØRER DU MEG?" 人類は万物の頂点に君臨しているのではない。これまでの生き方、考え方を根底から見直す節目にいる。 この地球環境に対して、挑んだり組み伏せたりするのではなく、しなやかに添う関係へと。
[From the Ruins] Maruyama created the image of "ruins" in the grasslands surrounded by mountains in the Arctic region in central Norway. It is a scene of Fukushima and neighboring prefectures in Tohoku region, Maruyama's hometown, which has changed drastically due to the earthquake, tsunami, and nuclear accident. In the silence after the tsunami, human beings face the great nature as a living thing and speak to recreate a new relationship, the first call from the ruins- "Can you hear?" In Norwegian "HØRER DU MEG?" Mankind does not reign at the pinnacle of all things. It is a turning point to fundamentally review the way of life and way of thinking so far.
